We’re lookin’ at the players, see who’s good and who ain’t. You got your batters, they try to hit the ball far, score runs. Then there’s the bowlers, they throw the ball and try to knock down them sticks, what they call wickets.
They keep track of all this stuff. How many runs a fella gets, how many wickets he takes down. That’s what they call “stats”. Fancy word for keepin’ score, if you ask me.
Match 45, Pondicherry T10 Tournament 2024
Now, in this Match 45, these AVE and KGS guys were goin’ at it. Heard some fella hit the ball real good for AVE. Scored a bunch of runs. Don’t remember his name, too many of them fancy names. But he did good.
And them KGS boys, they weren’t slouches neither. One of their bowlers, he was throwin’ that ball fast, knockin’ down them wickets left and right. Kept them AVE fellas from scorin’ too many runs.
Pondicherry T10 Tournament 2022 and 2023
They played before too, these AVE and KGS teams. In 2022 and 2023, they had more of these matches. Same thing, hittin’ balls and knockin’ down sticks.
One time, AVE beat KGS real bad. Another time, KGS came back and won. It’s like a see-saw, one goes up, the other goes down. That’s how the game is, I guess.
- They got this thing called “fantasy tips”. Sounds like make-believe to me. But folks use it to pick players for their teams, like they’re playin’ pretend.
- And then there’s “live score”. They keep tellin’ ya who’s winnin’, how many runs, how many wickets. Keeps ya on the edge of your seat, I suppose.
- And this “Criclytics Report Card”? Don’t ask me what it means. Some fancy way of sayin’ who played good, who played bad. Numbers and charts, all that jazz.
