Well, let me tell ya somethin’ about this Nepal Everest Premier League, or whatever they call it. It’s cricket, you know, that game with the bats and balls. Folks are always hittin’ and runnin’. Don’t rightly understand all the rules, but it’s excitin’ to watch sometimes.
This “live score” thing, that’s what the young’uns are always glued to. They got their phones and such, always lookin’ at the numbers. Says who’s winnin’ and who’s losin’. I reckon it’s important if you’re bettin’ or somethin’. Me? I just like watchin’ the fellas smack that ball.
Nepal Everest Premier League 2024, sounds fancy, don’t it? They got all these teams with funny names, like Chitwan Rhinos and Sudurpaschim Royals. Sounds like a bunch of wild animals and kings fightin’ it out! And then there’s Biratnagar Kings and Kathmandu Gurkhas. Gurkhas, those are the tough fellas, I hear. Always fightin’ and winnin’. Probably good at cricket too.
- They say the matches are in Kirtipur. Don’t know where that is, but it must be a big place if they’re playin’ cricket there. Lots of folks, I bet.
- And they got this “ball by ball commentary.” That’s too much for me. Just tell me who’s ahead, that’s all I need to know. No need to yap about every single throw.
This “Sportskeeda” place, they got all the scores and news. News, huh? What kinda news can there be about cricket? Someone hit a six? Someone got out? It ain’t rocket science, I tell ya.
Then there’s the schedule and scorecard. That’s for the serious folks. The ones who keep track of everything. Me? I just watch when I got the time. If the TV’s on and they’re playin’, I might take a gander. Otherwise, I got chores to do.
ESPN, they got the highlights and videos. That’s more my speed. Show me the good stuff, the big hits and the fancy catches. Don’t bore me with all the other stuff. And photos, too. Folks like lookin’ at pictures. Makes it more real, I guess.

So, what’s the big deal about this Nepal Premier League? Well, it’s cricket, and folks seem to like it. They got their teams and their players, and they all want to win. Just like any other game, I reckon. Win or lose, it’s just a game. Don’t get too worked up about it, I say. Just enjoy the show, if you like that sorta thing.
I heard Janakpur won a game by eight wickets. Eight wickets! That sounds like a lot. They musta been good that day. Or the other team was just plain awful. Happens sometimes. One day you’re on top, the next day you’re on the bottom. That’s life, ain’t it?
Anyway, if you wanna know the score, go look it up. It’s all over the place, these young’uns and their internet thingamajigs. Me? I’ll just sit here and watch the chickens. They’re more entertainin’ sometimes, I tell ya.
And if those fellas are hittin’ the ball good, maybe I’ll sneak a peek at the TV. But only if I ain’t got nothin’ better to do. And that ain’t often, let me tell ya.
